Has it been as week?

What's that? You want to know what WerePanda Productions has been up to this past week? Well I think I can help you out with that.

It's been a busy week here at WerePanda Productions. The bustling of the workers has been music to my ears. Video production of Episode 4 of Adventuring Heroes has been in full swing and it looks fantastic if I do say so myself. The heroes' journey will continue at the end of the month so keep your eyes peeled. In other video news our first mini episode "Whistle" is up for the whole world to see. It is a mini episode full of acceptance which you of course can accept HERE.

In other news our budding game designer Aaron Shepherd has begun to show-off his skills in the Unity 3D arena. This week he has brought us a hell of a time waster called Gauntlet Runner. The game looks excellent… for a beginner. Oh I'm just messing with you Aaron, we all know you'll go on to create great looking games. If you're interested in checking out his game we have it on our website HERE. Keep in mind you need to have the Unity 3D player to play it, but we have conveniently given you a link to download it on the page.

The biggest news of the week is just too exciting for words, but I will try anyway. For those of you who are not new to WerePanda Productions and our happenings you'll remember Aaron and Alan's amazing performance at "Whose Line is it Anime" at Anime Banzai 2014. For those of you who have not seen the video you can watch it HERE. Well as fate would have it Epic Fail Cosplay (the fantastic group who ran the event) has asked WerePanda Productions to participate in the 2015 "Whose Line is it Anime" 18+ show as the improv group. Everyone here at WerePanda Productions is so excited to be a part of this event. Epic Fail Cosplay has been a delight to work with, so having a chance to continue working together is nothing short of amazing. We of course will be practicing and preparing for the event which will take place in October and perhaps we may record a few sessions and put them up on the website. All I can tell you is, we look forward to working on this all year and bringing everyone an amazing show.

Stay tuned next week for even more WerePanda Awesomeness. - Daniel Shepherd/ Director

The Incoming Roar

Do you know that sound? The moment when an engine catches, or a wave is about to crash? It's the moment of highest potential. Anything could happen in that moment. It's the sound of power. This is what you are able to experience this month. The wave is coming, and when it hits, it will be a sight to see! At the forefront of this wave is this incredible website, bringing all the bells and whistles. Take a look around, see what we already have, and the amount of things we are planning to bring to everyone (and this isn't a, awww, they never ended up updating content to this page, this is content we are bringing you this year)!

Already, there are things happening, both planned and posted. Our new Podcast is alive, and as enjoyable as ever. You can shortcut to it HERE. There are new Tribal Pokemon drawings that our wildly talented artist, Alan, has provided; which you can see HERE. And, since the artistic streak definitely runs in the family, Daniel; (you remember him, right? He's that guy, that said that one thing, that time. Yeah, you remember.) he has some updates on his Final Fantasy XIV concepts for the playing cards you can see HERE. Not to mention, that our prodigy, Aaron, has finished making a game we may post shortly!

Do you see that? The storm is coming. A storm that Batman would comment on! A fire is starting. One that Katniss would be happy to point out nonchalantly (don't ask how the studio recording went when I tried to film her saying that….whew…).

On a more serious note, Jerry has yet to put that fire out in the break room, yeah Jerry, I did mention it! You make the worst messes! Also, just you wait for next week, when we bring you a fun short film that we prepared! - Levi Todd/Commander

The Beginning of the Tribal Pokemon

Tribal Pokemon

I have always been a huge fan of Pokemon. I have been watching the show since I was 8. I have played the video games, played the card games, created artistic projects all based on Pokemon. My Tarot Cards are probably the largest Pokemon based undertaking I have ever taken before now.

Story time: Not long ago I was inspired to try get a Pokemon tattoo based solely on my love for Pokemon, but of course deciding what you want to get as a tattoo can be very difficult. It is going to be on your body forever so it has to be something cool and fun which is why Pokemon worked so well. I searched far and wide looking for the right Pokemon picture to get as a tattoo when I stumbled upon Pokemon created using tribal swirls. It looked really cool, I wanted to see more so I searched for the Pokemon I wanted, but I couldn't find it in that style. Broken hearted I pondered long about a solution when it hit me. I went to my brother and General Visual Designer of WerePanda Productions: Alan Shepherd. At first I just wanted him to create a tribal Pokemon for the tattoo, the Pokemon of course is the one you see on the left now, Torterra, but as we discussed everything we had a sudden moment of clarity: there should be a tribal looking picture for all the Pokemon. It was such a great idea, I'm surprised we had never thought of it before, but could we really take on such an undertaking. With over 700 different Pokemon it could take years before we finished them all, not to mention any new potential generations during that time. However, when I looked into Alan's eyes I knew we had to do it. It started with my quick design of Gardevoir so that we could have a basis for design and then he and I just shot off. After creating a few designs we realized our style was less tribal and more I don't know. We tried thinking of different names, but we couldn't so we left it at tribal in the hopes of finding a different name soon. Alan and I hope to bring you a new Tribal Pokemon every few weeks as we finish them. We hope you enjoy our creative designs. Also as fans of WerePanda Productions, if you can think of a better name for our creations feel free to submit your thoughts. We are on facebook at WerePanda Productions or twitter @werepandapro just shoot us your ideas and if we like it we'll feature it on our pages. Well now that you've heard my story go ahead and keep enjoying our site. – Daniel Shepherd/Director
